Farm Pick-Up

Bee’s Knees Mercantile serves as your weekly Bigfork pick-up location for the following local farms:

 

Sierra Farms

Sierra Farms is a small dairy farm owned by twenty year old Sara Maldonado-Ferenčik in Polson, Montana. With international roots from Guatemala and Slovakia, Sara offers a variety of European style cheeses as well as seasonal gelato with flavors ranging from strawberry buttermilk to vanilla bean, masala chai, coffee, mango, aged sheep cheese and mango, dulce de leche, lemon cherry, toasted coconut, lemon blueberry, basil olive oil, and more using raw milk from her small herd of dairy sheep (gelato di pecora) or cows (gelato di mucca). Not to mention, she offers fresh chicken eggs by the dozen. Continuing her love for agriculture, Sara is also a a fiber artist skilled in spinning and felting, offering felted sheep milk soap during markets or via custom order.

The Wild Daisy

The Wild Daisy is a micro bakery owned by Kait Whitlow in Kalispell, Montana. Kait offers freshly baked sourdough baked goods, including: classic sourdough, rye, jalapeño cheddar, cinnamon raisin, organic country, and other specialty loaves, as well as a variety of bagels, dinner rolls, focaccia, scones, cookies, and cinnamon rolls. Fresh duck eggs are also available by the half dozen on a first come first serve basis.

Due to the fermentation process of sourdough, preorders are only open Monday thru Wednesday with pick up scheduled at Bee’s Knees Mercantile every Saturday from 12pm-2pm. Duck eggs may be picked up Wednesday thru Sunday, 10am-5pm.


Windchime Flower Farm

Windchime Flower Farm is a small flower farm owned by Gwen Norton in Kalispell, Montana. Gwen offers seasonal flower CSA subscriptions during flower season (June thru October). Fresh chicken eggs are also currently available by the dozen on a first come first serve basis. The chickens are fed on a local organic diet from Holy Cross Farm.
