What is an herbal salve? Traditionally, herbals salves were used as a holistic plant-based ointment to promote skin health.

Burns ‘n’ Bruises begins as a slow-infusion of organic cold-pressed safflower oil with organically-grown St. John’s wort, heartleaf arnica, and common dandelion harvested from our homestead in Bigfork, Montana. After macerating for a period of 6± months, the potent herbal oil is then sieved, blended over minimal heat with local beeswax, and hand-poured into reusable 2-oz stainless steel tins (screw-top).

Rich in healing compounds, Burns ‘n’ Bruises was crafted to hydrate and repair damaged skin, reinforce the skins natural oil barrier, as well as reduce burns, bruises, redness, irritation, through a rapid absorption application (topical use only). Our selection of herbal salves possess a sweet, honey-like taste and aroma with a subtle herbaceous note; ideal for those with sensitivities. It’s lip smacking good!

To further our environmental stewardship efforts, all of our herbal salves are seasonally curated in small batches to celebrate the terroir of each plant and beeswax harvest. In respect to each the growing, harvesting, and infusion period, the wait-time between batches can extend up to 18 months. A labor of love from the honeybees and us busy bees.
