A tribute to Kyle's Greek heritage, this vessel is a modern take on a Greek-style Mastoid, or Mastos, which was traditionally shaped like a mother’s breast and used only for nourishing drinks (specifically non-alcoholic). One would hold, or cup, the bottom of the vessel with their hand, then place their thumb on top of the looped “handle,” as show in the photos.

The bare clay on the exterior gives off a warm, natural, salt-of-the-earth feel, contrasting the coolness of the speckled white glaze on the interior.
