A tribute to Kyle's Greek heritage, this vessel is a modern take on a Greek-style Mastoid or Mastos, which was traditionally shaped like a breast (hence “mas”) and used only for nourishing drinks such as milk and tea (no alcohol). One would hold, or cup, the bottom of the vessel with their hand as opposed to holding the “handle”, then place their thumb in the groove of the “handle,” as show in the last picture.
